Welcome to the Website of the European Wool Association.

EWA is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2022 aiming to give back value to wool produced in Europe. The establishment of EWA was inspired by the need to find sustainable solutions in the context of the value chain for European wool and with consideration of the welfare of animals and the environmental sustainability of farms.

Wool is our focus of interest for actions and activities supported by a multidisciplinary group of founding members.

The EWA website is the hub for information about wool available to the public but also for researchers and other stakeholders. The information spans from sheep breeds and their wool, industrial processing stages, wool products, research projects, scientific and social events and the contacts of all major stakeholders and individuals working with wool.
